~The Feeder Canal Alliance
Thank you to all who stopped by our open house at the Silos this past weekend. We had about 200 visitors and made some great contacts for future partners. We even got to use a solar panel to power our computer and projector! Another important thing to note was that we talked with a lot of people who have stories and pictures to contribute to our growing historical collection of the Feeder Canal. Preserving your stories of this area is very important to us!
The bicycle ride along the trail sponsored by the Warren County Safe and Quality Bicycling Organization led by John Strough was a great success, too. We heard there were over 500 cyclists that participated!
If you see a tree down along the canal or trail please call the Feeder Canal Alliance office at 518-792-5363 to let us know. We will pass the message along to have it taken care of.
There are currently several trees down along the canal, like the one pictured below between the Feeder Dam and Haviland Cove in Glens Falls.
