The Glens Falls Brewfest is an annual event that provides over 40 breweries in one location to meet the growing demand for discerning palates to sample premium and craft ales. This event gives consumers a greater variety of ales than typically available, as well as musical entertainment, delicious finger foods and a rocking good time. The proceeds benefit the Feeder Canal Alliance and the Adirondack Theatre Festival. Both local not for profits help set up and volunteer at this one of a kind local event. Visit Glens Falls Brew Fest for more details.
Each April the NYS Canal Corporation, in partnership with Parks & Trails New York and the Environmental Facilities Corporation promotes Clean Sweep, an annual state wide effort to clean up along canals in the early spring. In conjunction with Clean Sweep the Feeder Canal Alliance hosts a Clean Up Day, typically on the weekend closest to Earth Day, the date may change based on weather and canal water levels. Volunteers meet at Murray Park in Hudson Falls or can call the office at (518) 792-5363 to arrange a different location.
