Programs

Feeder Canal Alliance, a 501(c)3 founded in 1988, preserves, promotes and protects the Glens Falls Feeder Canal and Towpath Trail through responsible recreation, environmental education and interpreting and preserving the history of these resources.

The Feeder Canal Alliance has unique educational STEM programs for 4th graders at The SILOS in Hudson Falls, and will be scheduling informative lecture series for birdwatchers, history enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Events

The Feeder Canal Alliance participates in the Glens Falls Brewfest and hosts annual events such as Clean Up Day, Canoe/Kayak Race and Pumpkin Painting.

Discover the Past

From the early 1800’s until 1928 the Feeder Canal provided a means of transportation by canal boats for people and goods. The canal and towpath today provide a glimpse into the past.
